Lorsque je commence à peindre le premier coup de pinceau est spontané et, dans la mesure du possible incontrôlé - suivi de moments d'observation. Les coulures, gouttes, éclaboussures laissent la peinture se faire, les taches révélent un inconscient, génèrent parfois un sujet, un objet. D’autres fois, une idée ou une intuition est déjà en amont, et la peinture suit alors une conception logique, faite de superpositions, de recouvrements.Les sujets sont souvent hybrides, mi-végétaux, mi-animaux, mi-objets qui s'assemblent par une logique créative, formelle, intuitive, accidentelle et souvent ironique. Hybrides par leur rendu mi-abstrait, mi-figuratif. Et à la fin, il ne reste qu’à espérer, attendre, observer l'émergence d'un sens dans ces images, ou parfois pas…
